Join us at the 2024 APMM Annual Conference from May 20th to May 22nd. Keynote speakers, dynamic learning experiences, and networking opportunities await you at this event. Additional training seminars include taking the leap to becoming a manager or moving to a new community, managing with changing boards, economic development tools for smaller communities, public safety potpourri, and a game plan for succession planning. This is an opportunity to form partnerships and build relationships with other local decision makers. Don't miss this chance to enhance your skills and connect with fellow Municipal Managers. All attendees of the APMM Annual Conference will receive access to the Whova mobile app to access the conference events. Registration includes admittance to all training sessions, the exhibit hall, scheduled meals and events, and a men’s or women’s polo shirt. There are also two extracurricular activities planned. A golf outing at Riverview Country Club in Easton and The Rise and Fall of Bethlehem Steel walking tour. Both tours incur additional fees. Please note that the last day to register is Friday, April 26.

Golf Outing

ON Monday, May 20, 2024 - Riverview Country Club, One Riverview Place, Easton, PA - 11:00 a.m. shotgun start. Two drink tickets and lunch are included. Golfers need to be registered conference attendees/guest or their company should be a participating exhibitor or sponsor. to make your on-line reservations at Wind Creek Bethlehem. Reservations are also being accepted by calling:  877-726-3777 and requesting the APMM Annual Conference room block. The room rate is $189 per night +10% tax. Reservations are available until Friday, April 26, 2024, or the room block has been sold-out. Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is 11:00 a.m.   Reservations must be cancelled 72 hours prior to arrival or will be subject to one night room and tax cancellation fee. The rise and fall of bethlehem steel Walking tour

APMM MUNICIPAL Members & Guests Only

Join fellow APMM Conference attendees and step back in time as they visit the Bethlehem Steel Stacks – The Rise and Fall of Bethlehem Steel Walking Tour.  Learn about Bethlehem Steel, once the second largest steel producer in the country.  Hear about how Bethlehem Steel built some of America’s greatest landmarks – including the Golden Gate Bridge and the Chrysler Building.  Discover the humble beginnings, monumental growth, and humbling decline of this 20th-century giant.   The 90-minute walking tour features close-up views of the former steel plant and an in-depth look at the steel-making process and the roles the workers played in in the country’s history. 

 The 90-minute tour is scheduled for Monday, May 20 beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Please plan to meet in the hotel lobby by 10:30 a.m. for a 20-minute walk to the Steel Stacks, 711 East 1st Street.  The tour is being provided the Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites which is dedicated to telling stories of Bethlehem’s past and its lasting impact on the community.  

A lunch is included following the tour for 1:00 p.m. at The Taste Smokers, 318 East Third Street - https://www.thetastesmokers.com/.  There is a 10-minute walk to the restaurant from the Steel Stacks.

 Both venues are within a 20-minute walk of Wind Creek Bethlehem.  There are four flights of stairs and comfortable shoes with no heels are recommended. 

If there is an accessibility issue, please be sure to indicate on the conference registration form.  

The cost for the walking tour and lunch is $65 per person. The tour has a limit of 40 registrants.

Every registered APMM Member will receive a gray Devon & Jones CrownLux Performance Plaited Polo shirt. Please be sure to include your selection and size on the registration form.
